SHEARING SERVICE

I offer professional, reliable, cost-effective SHEEP SHEARING throughout Massachusetts & New York, and in parts of Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

 I only shear sheep, and I shear only sheep

I've sheared more than 100,000 sheep over the years, and each year shear more than 15,000 sheep on close to 500 different farms/properties.

MY GOAL:
To provide RELIABLE, SAFE, and COST EFFECTIVE shearing, while creating as pleasant an experience as possible for shepherds, sheep, and shearer alike. 

Toward that end, you can expect ME

• ​​To arrive on the day and at the time scheduled (or to call if something keeps me from doing so);
• To use clean, properly serviced tools;
• To keep my focus on the sheep I am shearing
• To handle sheep with care
• To communicate consistently, clearly and courteously at all times 

I ask that YOU

• provide a clean, flat, wood surface on which to shear. For the safety of your sheep and myself, I do not shear on tarps or concrete surfaces;
• provide access to an electrical outlet in the shearing area My shearing tools require electricity to run.
• ensure sheep and shearing area are dry.  For the safety of your sheep and myself, I cannot shear wet sheep or on wet surfaces;  
• ​keep sheep off feed for 12 hours prior to our scheduled appointment.  Full bellies compromise the comfort and the safety of sheep during shearing;
• arrange to have sheep in close proximity to the shearing area;
• arrange for adequate help for a steady flow of sheep into and out of the shearing area, and for the collection of fleece you intend to keep/use;
• provide an accurate count for shearing prior to my visit.  Scheduling well helps me keep costs down, but it also means I often don't have the flexibility to accommodate last minute changes in job size. If count changes between scheduling and shearing date, PLEASE text or call ASAP.
• pay in full at the time of service.  I accept cash or check only'
